NEW GROUP STARTING, "The Relationships We Have With The Substances In Our lives" A weekly group starting Thursday, March 11th 6:30pm-8:00pm. The group is open to adult men (age 21+) who feel that they have challenges or concerns with drugs and/or alcohol.The group will have no more than 8 members in it to help foster a sense of connection and safety. This is a 6-week long, closed group, meeting on 6 consecutive Thursdays, (note: there will be an option for members to continue on in the group if they are interested in doing so). There is not a sobriety requirement to attend this group, other than group members agreeing to not attend group while under the influence.

Due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group will be meeting virtually, (though this could change to in person, dependent upon the status of the pandemic). Cost? If paying out-of-pocket, the fee per group is: $40 per group, though if paying for all 6 sessions upfront, there is a discount on the total amount. The following insurance plans are also accepted for payment: BCBS-PPO, BCBS-Blue Choice, Aetna, Cigna and Medicare.

As indicated in the title, the focus of this group will be on an exploration and discussion about what the relationship is like with the substance(s) in your life. The group will be mostly process-based, ie the focus will be on the thoughts, feelings and dialogue shared between group members. It is my hope that members will learn a great deal about themselves by talking with and sharing their thoughts and experiences with the other group members. Some psycho-educational components will be woven into the group as well.
